The Department of Laboratory Medicine at Geisinger is seeking a board-certified Clinical Chemist or Clinical Toxicologist to join our expanding laboratory team.
Job DutiesShare clinical and technical responsibility for chemistry and toxicology testing with three clinical chemists. Research is not required.
Ensure quality, harmonization, and standardization across 9 hospital laboratories and 6 clinic labs.
Geisinger Laboratory performs over 15 million laboratory tests annually.
Department includes 44 pathologists and PhDs.
Position DetailsQualifications: PhD, DCLS, MD, or DO with board certification or eligibility in clinical chemistry or clinical toxicology.
Experience: Prior work in a CAP-accredited (or equivalent) clinical environment is required.
Desired Skills: Strong communication and leadership abilities, strategic thinking, project management experience, and expertise in mass spectrometry assay development.
Academic Role: Academic appointment at Geisinger College of Health Science is standard. Teaching responsibilities include medical students, residents, fellows, clinical laboratory scientists, and other allied health professionals.
