Job Overview:
6 Tower: 6 Tower Cardiac Progressive Care Unit is a busy 34 bed cardiac unit. We see a range of telemetry, medical-surgical, and intermediate care patient acuities. Types of patients we care for include post cardiac procedures, sepsis, dialysis, heart failure, and respiratory failure. We specialize in post heart transplantation, LVADs and Heart Failure. All of which we are happy to train you for so no previous experience required.

Qualifications:
Required:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.Basic Life Support (CPR) through American Heart AssociationPreferred:
Previous nursing assistant experience or clinical experience from an accredited nursing program preferred. Certified nursing assistant preferred.Scheduling Requirements:
Day Shift, 32 hours per week, 7a-3:30pEvery other weekend and 3 of 6 holidaysEssential Functions:
The CCT is a direct patient caregiver who assists patients with activities of daily living and provides care to patients including taking vital signs, EKGs, performing phlebotomy, assisting or providing patients with bedside care (i.e. bathing, mouth care, skin care)Providing patient care based on physical, education, safety, and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients in assigned serviceProviding for effective and safe patient outcomes through practice, judgment, and critical actionsOngoing communication with patients and nursing colleagues regarding status of patient s careParticipating in collaboration of our patient's plan of care from admission to discharge to ensure safe care transitionOther Duties: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
