While CNA I and CNA II professionals can work under the license of a physician or advanced practice provider (APP), per North Carolina Board of Nursing requirements, they must:
+ Complete a minimum of 8 hours every 24 months of direct supervision by a registered nurse (RN) employed at the clinic
+ Or make arrangements to complete this requirement at a sister Novant Health Medical Group (NHMG) clinic location
What You'll Do
+ Prepare and room patients for surgical consultations and follow-ups
+ Support minor in-office procedures and post-op care
+ Document accurately in the electronic health record Serve as a vital link between patients and providers
+ Keep clinic flow efficient while maintaining a warm, welcoming atmosphere
+ Assist in the coordination and delivery of patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians
+ Supporting rooming, vital signes and patient preparation
+ Maintaining a safe and clean care environment
What We're Looking For
+ Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
+ Experience:
+ Two years Acute experience for CNA 1, preferred.
+ One year CNA2 or EMT, preferred.
+ One year Experience in healthcare setting or Physician Assistant or medical school student enrolled in an accredited program or gap year, preferred.
+ Licensure/Certification:
+ NA I in good standing within the NA registry; OR required.
+ NA II in good standing with NA II certification with required state; OR required
+ EMT current credential in appropriate state; OR required
+ One year clinical (medical) office experience; OR required.
+ Physician Assistant or Medical School student enrolled in accredited program or in gap year required.
+ Additional Skills (required):
+ Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing.
+ Basic computer skills for documentation
