Job Title:Clinic Service Representative
Schedule:Full Time - 40 Hours - Day Shift between 8AM - 6PM
Location: 20200 Outer Dr W, Dearborn, MI 48124 - This position will train and work at the office sister site in Dearborn until the new Livonia location has been opened.
General Summary:
Under general supervision, the Clinic Service Representative follows standard operating procedures for all patient registration activities including patient reception, face-to-face check-in and check-out, preregistration, insurance verification, cash collections, chart reconciliation, and patient discharge. This position actively contributes to an organizational culture committed to the highest degree of service excellence standards for all customer groups.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Greet and register patients in a professional and courteous manner.
+ Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and financial responsibilities.
+ Perform check-in and check-out functions, including preregistration, insurance verification, and cash collection.
+ Assist patients with discharge procedures and connect them with the Customer Service Center as needed.
+ Maintain accurate patient charts and complete chart reconciliation.
+ Provide information and support to patients, visitors, medical staff, and other clinic and hospital personnel.
+ Demonstrate teamwork and support of clinic operations by assisting colleagues as necessary.
+ Perform duties in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
+ Uphold organizational standards of dependability, punctuality, and service excellence.
Education Required:
+ High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience and Skills Required:
+ Demonstrated ability to work with detailed information and perform calculations.
+ Experience completing forms and utilizing computer information systems.
+ Basic computer skills, including email, software navigation, and keyboarding.
+ Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work with diverse populations of all ages.
+ Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
+ Ability to effectively discuss general financial responsibilities with patients.
+ Dependable, punctual, and able to work within a team setting.
Preferred Experience:
+ Familiarity with a clinic or healthcare environment.
