Ensure a positive and quality patient clinical experience in accordance with established standards, policies, and nursing scope of practice. Work as a liaison between the physician and the patient, ensuring that both physician and patient needs are equally recognized and resolved. Provide nursing care for patients in the clinic, assist with exams, and ensure detailed documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
ResponsibilitiesAssure quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards and measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and regulatory standards.Coordinate the collection of all documentation required prior to the patient’s first visit, including labs, x-rays, pathology reports, and physician notes.Ensure patients are in the room and prepared to see the physician.Prepare equipment and implement physician orders.Direct patient flow as dictated by the treatment plan.Observe, record, and report a patient's condition and reaction to drugs.Administer medications as directed and document in the EMR.Coordinate and assist with discharge instructions, follow-up care, diagnostic tests, and medication instructions.Administer and document general nursing care.Apply nursing process, critical thinking, and judgment to clinical practice.Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.Resolve patient problems and needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies.
Essential SkillsFamily medicine expertise.Proficiency with electronic health records.Possess a Multistate RN License (KS/MO).Experience in physician clinic settings.Triage skills.Registered Nurse (RN) with a minimum of 2 years of substantial clinical nursing experience.Active applicable state licensure for MO and KS.Current BLS certification.Demonstrated understanding of infection control, medication administration, health promotion, and maintenance.
Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience working in a clinical office environment.Ability to speak and understand other languages.
Work Environment
The position is available at various locations, including Broadway, Merriam, Lakewood (Lee Summit), and St. Joe Medical Center. The workweek is Monday to Friday, with varying start and end times. The environment is fast-paced, especially on days with many surgeries, and may involve relocation to new facilities. The role requires the ability to recognize potentially hazardous situations, respond calmly, and handle physical demands such as sitting or standing for prolonged periods and lifting up to 25 pounds. The noise level is moderate, and no special uniform is required. Hazardous materials exposure is minimal and limited to normal office supplies.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $37.00/hr.
