Clin Coor- Clinical Resource Office- Contingent - Days

GENERAL SUMMARY:

·       Under the direction of the House Manager for Clinical Resource Office, the Clinical coordinator will assist in providing supervision, leadership and guidance to patient care units by making rounds on their assigned shift.

·       Responsible for assuring adequate staffing by the nursing department, recognizing the importance of efficiency and cost effectiveness while providing high quality of service.

·       Provides clinical support at the hospital level including but not limited to: assisting with direct patient care as necessary, assisting with patient through put (admissions, discharges, transfers), assessing patient condition, completing clinical tasks, responds to all clinical emergency situations and recognizes, resolves and reports immediate situations that jeopardizes patient rights, safety and/or customer service.

·       Will coach patient care unit staff in clinical practice, critical thinking and customer service skill development.

·       Coordinates bed utilization within inpatient hospital patient care units.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

·       Baccalaureate degree in Nursing preferred.

·       Requires two to three years of relevant acute care nursing experience.

·       Must have excellent communication skills, strong facilitative interpersonal skills, and excellent problem-solving skills.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

·       Requires Michigan Nursing License.

·       ACLS preferred but not required.
