Description:

POSITION PURPOSE

Performs regular, routine maintenance activities including replacing computer equipment, keyboards, mice, monitors, and other hardware components. Collaborates and communicates with vendors to resolve routine technical issues with equipment. Builds computers using standard imaging software. Coordinates disposable of electronic waste and recycling. Maintains and reports on inventory levels. Updates and maintains computer and equipment inventory in accordance with the standards and security practices of Trinity Health.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Perform all functions relating to the receipt, inventory, storage, tracking, repair, disposal, and reporting of Information Technology assets utilized throughout the organization.Perform scheduled maintenance activities on technical equipment to help prevent unexpected failures in the future.Utilizes ticketing system to manage and complete assigned tasks. Logs all activities and tasks according to standardsProvides excellent customer service to all levels of internal Trinity Health users across multiple business lines.Responsible for troubleshooting, ad-hoc end-user support, managing work priorities and communicating status effectively and efficiently.Assists in physical moves of computer and phone equipment.Providing first level technology support, including but not limited to receiving calls, opening, and logging tickets, addressing issues that can be quickly resolved, and routing/escalating trouble tickets to the appropriate resource.Support corporate and BYOD mobile devices (iPhones, iPads, Android, IoT, and smart devices)Participates in one-on-one and group training for peers and customers on technical subject matters, including assisting in the onboarding of new hires.Ensures that all devices meet security standards in regard to encryption, management, and protection prior to connecting them to the network.May be part of on-call rotation for end-user support after hours.Possesses the ability to understand applicable Federal, State, and local laws/regulations; the Trinity Health Integrity and Compliance Program and Code of Conduct; as well as other policies and procedures to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical, and professional behavior.Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Experience utilizing software programs that manage user requests and tracks completion of assigned tasks, highly preferred. HP Desktop/Laptop Certification preferredComputer imaging experience desirable CompTIA A+ desirablePrevious experience using Microsoft O365Associate’s degree or technical institute graduate / certificate or equivalent combination of education and work experience.  Bachelor’s degree preferred.One (1) or more years of hands on experience with knowledge of installing applications, hardware and troubleshooting techniques.Microsoft and / or PC certification (A+, Network+, etc.) desirable.Microsoft desktop operating system / applications installation and support (Microsoft Office and Outlook) experience.Experience on multiple platforms including concepts of networking (LAN and WAN) and IS best practices preferred.PC Imaging experience desirable.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Excellent oral and writing skills for client communication and system documentation.Ability to troubleshoot software and hardware malfunctions.Ability to remain calm, helpful and productive in all situations.Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity, and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, goals, and values of Trinity Health.

Must be able to set and organize own work priorities, and adapt to them as they change frequently.  Must be able to work concurrently on a variety of tasks/projects in an environment that may be stressful with individuals having diverse personalities and work styles. Must possess the ability to comply with Trinity Health policies and procedures.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.Required to be able to push/ pull and lift objects (computers, monitors, printers) weighing up to 50 pounds.
