Job Description
The Showroom Client Support Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for customers visiting or contacting the showroom. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to both homeowners completing do-it-yourself projects and commercial or trade clients placing material orders. The position supports customers throughout the entire sales and fulfillment process—from initial inquiry and product selection through order placement, coordination, delivery, and post-sale follow-up. This individual plays a critical role in ensuring a positive customer experience, accurate order fulfillment, and strong long-term customer relationships.
Responsibilities
Greet and assist showroom visitors, providing knowledgeable, friendly, and professional service.Guide DIY homeowners through product selection, helping them understand materials, quantities, and application considerations.Support commercial clients, contractors, and trade customers with order placement, pricing inquiries, and account-based service.Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person communication.Build rapport and trust with customers by understanding project needs and recommending appropriate solutions.Enter and process customer orders accurately within internal systems.Coordinate order fulfillment, including inventory availability, scheduling, and delivery or pickup logistics.Communicate order status updates clearly and proactively to customers.Resolve order discrepancies, backorders, or delivery issues in a timely and professional manner.Ensure all required documentation, confirmations, and follow-ups are completed accurately.Conduct post-order follow-up to confirm customer satisfaction and address any issues.Maintain organized customer records, notes, and order histories.Support repeat business by providing consistent, reliable service to returning customers.Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless customer experiences.Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming showroom environment.Assist with product displays, sample organization, and general showroom upkeep.Support administrative tasks related to customer service, sales tracking, and reporting.Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety standards.Essential Skills
Proficient in customer service.Skilled in Microsoft Office.Experience with order entry and data entry.Ability to make outbound calls.Strong administrative support skills.Additional Skills & Qualifications
High School Diploma.3+ years of experience working in a service or related industry.Work Environment
The work schedule is 7 AM - 4 PM Monday - Friday for Winter Months (December - March) and Monday - Friday 7 AM - 5 PM and Saturdays 7 AM - 12 PM for the spring/summer months (April - November). Working on Saturday is a requirement, with guaranteed overtime. The role involves standing on feet a lot and will be based in the showroom. This is a family-owned organization with ample opportunity for growth and increased responsibilities. Upon conversion to permanent employment, there will be a pay rate increase. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
