Job Description:

At Regions, the Client Solutions Trust Administrator – Private Wealth is responsible for serving as trustee and advisor to existing client relationships with Trusts, Individual Retirement Accounts, Natural Resources and Real Estate, and Charitable Trusts.

Primary Responsibilities

Provides guidance and solutions for the development and on-going administration and maintenance of clients’ goals and objectivesKeeps abreast of trends and developments in the trust industry to ensure prudent administration and investment managementUnderstands unique, complex trust agreements and appropriately manages accounts in compliance with Regions’ capacity and legal and regulatory guidelinesDetermines the financial viability and associated risks of client businessUnderstands multi-state specific trust statutes Conducts initial administrative and compliance reviews for clientsSupplies Portfolio Managers with documentation of non-standard asset reviews for Annual Investment reviewsProvides support and documentation for the investment review exceptions clearance processFacilitates the non-discretionary distribution processFacilitates the discretionary distribution process with shared approval authorityPrepares all discretionary action requests for working group reviews, including but not limited to, termination, non-standard asset acceptance and retention, trust modifications, and real estate improvementsSupports fee set up and daily cash managementTakes responsibility for ensuring all accounts comply with applicable internal proceduresActs as an expert in trust administration that may include tax minimization strategies, 65-day elections or modifications, 5 x 5 powers, and Charitable Trust distribution percentagesCoordinates client service activities with other areas of the organizationDemonstrates solid knowledge and understanding of Regions’ products and services, including retirement, investment management, and charitable givingCoordinates administrative functions with attorneys, co-trustees, investment advisors, and Certified Public Accountants (CPAs)Ensures client activity is appropriately documented in OneViewEnsures appropriate management of trust account assets, with an awareness to future potential depletionMay manage complex client relationships

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Requirements

Juris Doctor (JD), however this position will not be authorized to practice law on behalf of Regions BankOr Master of Business Administration (MBA)Or Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF) and four (4) years of Trust Administration, Estate/Tax Law, Financial Planning, Investment or related experienceOr Bachelor’s degree in a related field and one (1) year of Trust Administration, Estate/Tax Law, Financial Planning, Investment or related experienceOr High School Diploma or GED and five (5) years of Trust Administration, Estate/Tax Law, Financial Planning, Investment or related experience

Preferences

Advanced degree (e.g., Juris Doctorate (JD), Master of Laws (LLM), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Master of Taxation)Professional Certification(s) to include Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF), Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA) or Certified Wealth Strategist (CWS)

This position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience.

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
