Client Services Specialist (Pensions/Benefits)

A high-performance and people-focused organization is seeking an Client Services Specialist (Pensions/Benefits) to join its Client Services team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for supporting assigned employers, ensuring accurate plan administration, resolving issues, and providing education and training to help them meet their obligations. You will play a key role in building strong relationships, maintaining compliance, and delivering exceptional frontline service.

Client Services Specialist (Pensions/Benefits)Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality frontline service to assigned employers via phone, email, Microsoft Teams, and other channels.

Respond to inquiries, issues, and complaints, ensuring timely and accurate resolutions within service standards.

Document, track, and process client interactions; follow up as appropriate.

Verify accuracy of employer-provided information and follow up on discrepancies.

Support employers with financial transactions, allocation of funds, and follow-up on late or outstanding invoices.

Perform research and reconciliation to resolve administrative issues with minimal impact to members.

Build and maintain long-term professional relationships with assigned employers by proactively managing expectations and ensuring understanding of policies and procedures.

Monitor outstanding employer inquiries and take proactive steps to achieve timely resolution.

Provide education and training to employers on updates, administrative activities, and the annual data collection process.

Collaborate with managers and other departments to optimize case management and overall service delivery.

Stay current on programs, policies, and legislative updates through training and regular communication.

Client Services Specialist (Pensions/Benefits) Requirements:

College Diploma or University Degree (Finance or Business emphasis an asset).

5 years of service experience in pensions, insurance, or financial services.

Strong client service orientation with excellent communication skills (verbal and written).

Logical, detail-oriented, and able to interpret and explain complex information clearly.

Strong decision-making skills, sound judgment, and integrity.

Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks and deadlines.

Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with both internal and external clients.

Effective conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities with tact and diplomacy.

Collaborative team player aligned with organizational values and service goals.
