Position: Part-Time Client Service Representative (Receptionist)
Department: Reception
Hours: Part-Time – Must be able to work holidays, nights, and weekends as needed
Location: VCA Central Park Animal Hospital

About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced and personable Part-Time Client Service Representative to join our dedicated team at VCA Central Park Animal Hospital. Our mission – Your pet’s health is our top priority and excellent service is our goal – drives everything we do. As the first point of contact for our clients, you will play a critical role in providing outstanding customer service and supporting our medical team in delivering high-quality care.

Why We Need You

As the face of our hospital, you set the tone for every client experience. The Client Service Representative (CSR) helps build trust and confidence in our team by being friendly, organized, and knowledgeable. You are a key member of our hospital’s operations and responsible for a variety of important functions, including:

Greeting clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism

Answering phones and scheduling appointments

Confirming appointments and making follow-up calls

Explaining fees and processing payments

Educating clients on basic pet care and product recommendations

Managing medical records and correspondence

Maintaining a clean, welcoming, and organized environment inside and outside the facility

Qualifications

Prior experience in the animal care field preferred

Excellent communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills

Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities

Reliable attendance and punctuality

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with compassion and empathy for pets and their owners
