Position Summary
CGI is seeking an experienced Director Consulting Services (DCS) to lead strategic growth, client engagement, and delivery excellence across our Financial Services portfolio, with a focus on Wealth Management, Asset Management, and Capital Markets. This role combines business development, account management, and consulting oversight, requiring deep industry expertise and a proven track record of managing large portfolios and C suite relationships.
The DCS will be responsible for driving revenue growth, shaping high value consulting and technology engagements, and ensuring operational excellence across a diverse portfolio of top tier financial institutions.
This role is ideal for a seasoned leader with strong domain knowledge, commercial acumen, and the ability to influence senior executives while partnering with global delivery teams.
This role must be performed in Westlake, TX.
Client & Industry Leadership
- Serve as a trusted advisor to C suite and senior business and technology executives across Wealth Management, Asset Management, and Capital Markets business domains.
- Lead strategic discussions on digital transformation, operating model modernization, cloud migration, data strategy, and regulatory change.
- Stay current on industry trends, including portfolio personalization, AI/ML driven advisory, digital client experience, and global regulatory frameworks (SEC, FINRA, MiFID II).
- Represent CGI at industry events, client workshops, and thought leadership forums.
Business Development & Portfolio Growth
- Own growth strategy and execution for assigned accounts within Wealth, Asset Management, and Capital Markets.
- Identify and shape opportunities across portfolio accounting modernization, investment data platforms, advisor experience solutions, transfer agency modernization, regulatory/compliance programs, and AI/Data Engineering initiatives.
- Lead end to end proposal development, including solution design, pricing, resourcing, and contract negotiations.
- Consistently achieve or exceed revenue, margin, bookings, and new business development targets.
- Position CGI as a strategic IT and consulting partner to senior client stakeholders.
Engagement Delivery & Operational Excellence
- Oversee delivery of consulting, digital transformation, and managed services engagements.
- Ensure alignment with CGI delivery methodologies, quality standards, and client expectations.
- Partner with local and global delivery teams to ensure on time, on budget, high quality outcomes.
- Manage forecasting, financial performance, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Team Leadership & Development
- Mentor and develop consultants, project managers, business analysts, architects, and solution SMEs.
- Support recruiting efforts to expand CGI's Financial Services practice with top industry and consulting talent.
- Foster CGI's ownership culture, promoting collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
Strategic Contributions to CGI
- Collaborate with national and global Delivery Centers and Financial Services leadership to refine go to market strategies and develop industry aligned offerings.
- Build and maintain partnerships with cloud providers, fintech's, and platform vendors.
- Contribute to thought leadership and industry insights through whitepapers, webinars, and client facing content.
- Own the account planning process, including budgeting, growth strategy, and long term portfolio development.
- 15+ years of consulting, technology, and account leadership experience, with at least 5+ years in Wealth Management, Asset Management, or Capital Markets domain.
- 8+ years of business development experience, pitching, presenting, and selling IT and consulting services to CXO level clients in Banking & Financial Services.
- Proven track record of business development and managing a P&L, with consistent success exceeding revenue, bookings, and margin targets.
- Experience selling large scale Cloud & Infrastructure services and broad IT services portfolios.
- Strong understanding of global delivery models, managed services, and strategic outsourcing.
- Demonstrated success managing large financial accounts or multi stream transformation programs.
- Strong financial acumen, including forecasting, margin optimization, and portfolio management.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with senior executives.
Domain Expertise (Preferred)
- Wealth platforms (advisor workstation, planning tools, CRM, compliance)
- Asset management front , middle , and back office platform experience
- Investment accounting, fund administration, and data management
- Trading systems, OMS/EMS, and portfolio management platforms

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $157,800.00 - $276,200.00.
