JOB OVERVIEW

As a lead part of the sales team for the UK’s largest ticketing company this role will lead on generating new ticketing business targeting some of the foremost venues and live entertainment destinations in the UK.  

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven business developer to join our dynamic team. Strong candidates would bring a proven new business sales track record in live entertainment demonstrated against set targets and potentially in-venue experience. An outgoing personality will equip you to represent Ticketmaster at networking events and conferences and provide thought-leadership and speaking opportunities where appropriate

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at prospective clients, understanding their needs and presenting tailored ticketing solutions. Lead Generation and Prospecting: Identify and cultivate new business opportunities by researching and targeting potential clients in the live entertainment sector and cultivating long term relationships Product & Sales Strategy: Work with the Senior Director of Client Solutions to ensure exciting developments in our product roadmap and communicated to prospective clients and addressing their needs Contract Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations and commercial proposal modelling from initial contact through to closing, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements that secure long-term partnerships. Market Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify new opportunities and maintain a competitive edge. Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, product development, and fan experience teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of sales strategies. Reporting and Forecasting: Manage prospects in Salesforce with prospect pipelines and sales forecasts.  

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL SKILLS)

Experience: Proven years of business development experience, preferably within the live entertainment or ticketing industry. Candidates may have experience at ticketing companies or venue side working with commercial partners.  Commercial Acumen: Proven commercial operator with ability to navigate complex deal structures and be able to interrogate RFPs and convert into deal calculators  Track Record: Proven success in generating leads, closing sales, and securing long-term contracts. Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the live entertainment landscape, including key players, market dynamics, and emerging trends. Sales Skills: Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to influence and persuade at all levels including in public forums at conferences and networking events  Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and develop comprehensive sales plans that drive growth. Relationship Building: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build lasting relationships with clients and internal teams. Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing market conditions. Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or equivalent is a plus.
