This is a part time position based on 32 hours per week, working between our Woodford and Epping surgeries.

You will be working as part of a friendly and supportive team in our busy small animal hospital in Epping and Woodford. We believe our receptionists are key in providing the excellent client care we pride ourselves on.

Forest Veterinary Centre is a well-established primary care practice providing excellent levels of veterinary care. Our main hospital is at Epping where we also provide an out of hours service for several other practices in the local area. We also have branch surgeries at Harlow and the Isle of Dogs.

The role can be rather physical and demanding but also very interesting and varied! You will need to have the ability to remain calm under pressure, show empathy in each situation you encounter, have the ability to multitask, be reliable, punctual and have a passion for excellent customer care.

Day to day tasks of this role will include answering the phones, provide a warm and welcoming experience to clients arriving, responding to emails, booking appointments, registering new clients, taking payments and keeping the reception area clean and tidy.

The successful candidate must have

Experience in a reception or customer service roleGood IT skillsExcellent telephone and face-to-face communication skillsProvide excellent customer service at all timesGood organisational and prioritising skillsThe ability to stay focused under pressure and to multitaskFlexibility for cover in the event of staff sickness or holidayPrevious veterinary knowledge desirable but not essential
