Client & Brand Strategy Director

As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, you will champion brand, category and shopper excellence, ensuring delivery of best-in-class strategies that connect with consumers and deliver sustainable commercial success. You will hold full P&L responsibility and act as a senior client lead, building trusted partnerships with some of Ireland’s most recognisable brands.

This role is ideal for a forward-thinking FMCG leader who combines strategic vision, data-driven decision making and strong stakeholder management with a passion for innovation and team development.

Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & StrategyLead the client management function with full P&L ownership across your portfolioAct as a senior strategic partner to key clients, building long-term, collaborative relationshipsProvide expert guidance on brand strategy, category management and commercial planningInspire, coach and develop high-performing teams to deliver exceptional results

Brand & Commercial PlanningOversee end-to-end development and execution of brand growth strategiesLead annual planning cycles, ensuring robust and commercially optimised plansEvaluate and refine brand plans to drive incremental growth and ROIMonitor external trends and the macro environment to future-proof brand strategies

Execution & ExcellenceDrive best-in-class brand activation grounded in shopper and consumer insightOversee agency partnerships, ensuring quality, performance and cost efficiencyUse data and performance metrics to optimise campaigns and respond to market shiftsEmbed a culture of continuous improvement and innovation

Client & Customer EngagementPartner with Customer Controllers and National Account teams to deliver customer plansSupport key customer meetings and strategic initiativesEnsure service excellence and delivery against client expectations and SLAs

Business Growth & DevelopmentIdentify new opportunities across markets, categories and channelsContribute to business growth strategy alongside the Executive TeamLead client tenders and proposal developmentExpand brand reach through innovative go-to-market approaches

Talent & CultureChampion talent development, performance management and succession planningCreate an inclusive, collaborative and high-performance cultureLead recruitment and capability building within your function

ExperienceSignificant senior leadership experience in FMCG, CPG, brand, marketing or commercial functionsProven track record of delivering high-impact brand strategies and growth plansExperience managing P&L, forecasting, budgeting and commercial negotiationsStrong understanding of the Irish grocery and pharmacy retail landscapeExperience working with or within a distributor model is advantageousDemonstrated success in leading, coaching and scaling teams

Skills & CapabilitiesExpertise in brand strategy, category management, shopper insight and go-to-market planningStrong commercial acumen including ROI analysis, sales modelling and margin managementAdvanced stakeholder management and influencing skillsAnalytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insightsConfident presentation and communication skillsProficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and storytellingAwareness of economic, market and industry dynamics impacting FMCG

QualificationsDegree-level qualification in business or a related discipline is beneficial, but not essential
