Client Advocate (Commercial Insurance) - Life Science Practice
**Description** The Client Advocate (CA) is responsible for maintaining and expanding client relationships, with a strong focus on the Life Sciences industry. This role requires a deep understanding of the life science landscape and the unique risks faced by pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device companies. The CA will manage client relationships, develop strategies, and drive revenue growth within the life sciences sector. The ideal candidate will have account management experience with middle market and large, complex clients in the Life Sciences industry, and will be comfortable working collaboratively across internal teams to deliver innovative, data-driven solutions. Note: Employment-based non-immigrant visa sponsorship and/or assistance is not offered for this specific job opportunity. **The Role** + Serve as the primary relationship manager for life sciences clients, ensuring delivery of the WTW Client Promise. + Develop and implement strategic risk management solutions tailored to the highly regulated and globally dynamic life sciences sector. + Lead client engagements, including RFP responses, oral presentations, and stewardship reporting. + Collaborate with WTW’s Life Sciences practice leaders, leveraging its global network of over 200 practitioners and 700+ clients to deliver specialized insights and services. + Coordinate with broking and analytics teams to implement structured reinsurance and insurance solutions. + Monitor industry trends such as regulatory shifts, supply chain disruptions, and emerging technologies to proactively advise clients. + Drive the renewal process and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. + Mentor junior team members and contribute to the development of best practices within the team. **Qualifications** **The Requirements** + Targeted 10+ years of commercial Property & Casualty experience in a client facing role or demonstrated capabilities to complete role responsibilities + Proven experience managing complex accounts in the Life Sciences industry. + Strong understanding of the healthcare and regulatory landscape, particularly as it applies to pharmaceuticals, biotech, medical devices and clinical trials. + Able to apply knowledge of coverage forms in the analysis of program design, the identification of coverage gaps, and ongoing coverage consultation + Ability to interpret, analyze, and present analytical models + **Relationship Management skills:** able to leverage internal and external relationships to bring WTW resources and assets tailored to client needs; ability to drive conflict resolution + **Negotiation skills:** ability to develop innovative and creative solutions to do complex deals, drive consensus across internal and external stakeholders to close deals and the ability to drive conflict resolution and secure concessions mitigating injury to client relationships + **Business Acumen:** knowledge of strategy, tactics, and solutions for the client, and/or in the marketplace + Knowledge of commercial insurance renewal end-to-end process, steps and owners + Excellent verbal and written communication skills; group presentation skills, ability to drive complex/technical conversations + Excellent project management skills: end-to-end oversight of large, complex, ambiguous, or multi-dimensional projects + Receptive to feedback; critical thinking and problem-solving skills, high adaptability + Intellectual curiosity to help develop innovative and creative ideas + Proficient Microsoft Office skills and familiarity with other relevant online tools + Must possess and maintain insurance brokers P&C license and complete various continuing education activities as needed + Insurance industry designations preferred but not required (CPCU, ARM, CIC, CRIS, CRM) This position will remain posted for a minimum of three business days from the date posted or until sufficient/appropriate candidate slate has been identified. **Company Benefits** WTW provides a competitive benefit package which includes the following (eligibility requirements apply): + **Health and Welfare Benefits:** Medical (including prescription coverage), Dental, Vision, Health Savings Account, Commuter Account, Health Care and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Group Accident, Group Critical Illness, Life Insurance, AD&D, Group Legal, Identify Theft Protection, Wellbeing Program and Work/Life Resources (including Employee Assistance Program) + **Leave Benefits:** Paid Holidays, Annual Paid Time Off (includes paid state/local paid leave where required), Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, Other Leaves (e.g., Bereavement, FMLA, ADA, Jury Duty, Military Leave, and Parental and Adoption Leave), Paid Time Off (https://cdn-static.findly.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/1862/2023/01/31091722/Washington-State-Time-Off.pdf) ( _Washington State only_ ) + **Retirement Benefits:** Contributory Pension Plan and Savings Plan (401k).
