Description We are looking for a dedicated and detail-driven Staff Accountant to join our team in Santa Barbara, California. In this role, you will provide essential support to the Client Accounting Services team, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial records for a diverse range of clients. Responsibilities: • Maintain and process accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure accurate financial tracking. • Record and reconcile inventory, revenue, expenses, and fixed asset activities to uphold financial integrity. • Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and cash flow reports in a timely manner. • Support payroll processing and ensure compliance with payroll tax and sales tax reporting requirements. • Prepare and file necessary tax forms, including Forms 1096/1099 and W-2/W-3, as required. • Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records through thorough investigation. • Collaborate on developing and implementing process improvements to enhance client accounting workflows. • Organize and manage electronic files and schedules to maintain efficient documentation systems. Requirements • At least 2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping with attention to detail. • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or similar accounting software is essential. • Associate’s degree in accounting or business is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred. • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members. • Proven ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and solve problems independently. • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning and collaboration in a team setting.
