The Opportunity 

Our location in Portsmouth, VA, currently has an opportunity for a Clerk 1, Distribution & Dispatching. In this role, the individual will be responsible for performing routine and repetitive assembly operations and processes under direct supervision.

Shift:

Monday to Friday

8:00 AM- 4:30 PM

What you'll work on: 

Support team lead in managing small pack product order flow.Ensure order fulfillment meets customer requirements and follows First In, First Out (FIFO) and First Expiry, First Out (FEFO) principles.Organize, prioritize, and print daily scheduled orders.Promote organization, professionalism, and time management among team members.Assist with scanning, sorting, packing, and shipment processing.Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pack and ship stations.Follow all company safety rules and procedures.Verify that packing and shipping supplies are adequately stocked.Use Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint effectively.Perform daily random quality audits on shipments.Assist with daily inventory cycle counts.Ensure all orders are sorted and shipped by the end of the shift.Cross-train in all Workplace Lab job functions.Demonstrate dependability and punctuality.Manage the daily flow of express and ground shipments.Perform other duties as assigned.Organize daily picking sheets.Monitor daily picking, packing, shipping, and replenishment activities.Check processes for accuracy and order fulfillment.Build and maintain relationships with internal customers.Assist with process improvements and submit Global Help Desk tickets.Support team lead in Operational Excellence Meetings.

Education and Experience you'll bring: 

Required

High school education or GED 

Preferred:

Strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and good business judgment.Basic math skills are needed to count the product.Ability to read product labels, chain of custody forms, facility numbers, and customer ship methods.Knowledge of the SAGE ERP 100 System and Scan ForceAbility to follow work instructionsForklift certification or Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and sound business judgmentBasic math skills for counting productsAbility to read product labels, chain of custody forms, facility numbers, and shipping methodsProficient in using Sage ERP 100 and Scan Force systemsAbility to follow written work instructions accuratelyForklift certified or willing to obtain certification (company-provided)Able to communicate discrepancies clearly to the lab managerCapable of calculating daily Units Per Hour (UPH) and tracking performance metricsConducts weekly performance observationsStrong communication and problem-solving skills

The base pay for this position is $15.45 – $30.85 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
