**103999BR** **Job Title:** Clerical Assistant - Destrehan, LA **Department/Function:** Operations: Manufacturing, Production, Maintenance, Utilities **Job Description:** **Clerical Assistant – Destrehan, LA** This is a full-time, non-exempt position The role works Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and may occasionally require additional time on a weekday or weekend, depending on business needs. **Position Summary:** We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Clerical Assistant. This position provides essential administrative and clerical support to ensure efficient office operations. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. The Clerical Assistant will report to the site management team and support other departments as needed. **Position Responsibilities:** + Promote and follow all safety procedures, programs, and policies + Sort, organize, and upload documents in accordance with company standards + Complete payroll processing and maintain accurate attendance documentation + Utilize office equipment to make copies, scan documents, and update computer databases + Type forms, correspondence, memos, and other business materials + Maintain filing systems for efficient recordkeeping and retrieval + Assist with special projects and assignments as directed by supervisors + Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding administrative and policy-related inquiries + Track and organize hourly time sheets, vacation requests, and sick time + Support onboarding activities and maintain personnel files in compliance with company guidelines + Demonstrate a collaborative, detail-oriented approach and contribute to a positive team environment **Position Requirements:** + High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred + Minimum of 3 years of office or administrative experience preferred + HR experience or prior exposure to HR-related tasks, including experience supporting unionized workforces, is preferred + Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) + Strong written and verbal communication skills + Excellent organizational and time management skills with a high level of attention to detail + Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines + Professional demeanor with the ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality + Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities + Commitment to teamwork, reliability, and continuous improvement Excited about this role but don’t think you meet every requirement listed?
