We invite passionate individuals to join our team, dedicated to exceeding customer expectations through innovative and sustainable solutions. **CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:** To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily: + Safely operate a DOT-regulated vehicle. + Identify all items to be delivered or picked up with the customer to ensure completeness and accuracy. Perform visual inspections of equipment being picked up and note any damage. Obtain customer signatures on appropriate paperwork. + Utilize motorized equipment handling machinery, including forklifts, to safely load equipment on and off trucks and trailers. + Operate fusion machines to build HDPE (high-density polyethylene) pipelines on customer sites to connect the pumping system. Ensure the pumping system and pipeline meet operational requirements and adjust to weather conditions as needed. + Secure all items loaded on the truck for safe over-the-road travel in accordance with FMCSA, DOT, and local guidelines. + Assist in securing loads using straps, chains, and other approved methods. + Ensure yard and loading areas are clear of debris; accessories and equipment are organized and easily accessible. + Follow all safety processes and procedures and maintain a ‘Safety First’ approach. Complete a Job Safety Assessment before beginning any work on a customer site. Ensure compliance with all Personal Protective Equipment requirements. + Function effectively in a team environment. + Usually works with minimal supervision, but can also operate independently. + Create and maintain a safe working environment and culture within the organization. + Demonstrates high-impact culture through innovation, accountability, and empowerment. **WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:** + This role is physically demanding and may require bending, squatting, stooping, twisting, kneeling, climbing, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds. + Employees will be home daily the majority of the time. + Work is performed in shop/manufacturing environments subject to all weather conditions, shop noise, fumes, and machinery with moving parts. + Strapping loads and operating forklifts are required. + Hazmat handling may be required; employees must be able to get necessary clearances post-hire with no restrictions. **DRIVING REQUIREMENTS:** + Must have a valid CDL (Class A or B) or be capable of obtaining one with applicable endorsements. + Ability to maintain a clean driving record and provide required documentation, including MVR, FMCSA certifications, and drug/alcohol testing forms. **QUALIFICATIONS:** + HS diploma or equivalent. + Must have or be capable of obtaining CDL Class A or B with applicable endorsements. + Ability to obtain all required customer clearances (TWIC, DISA, etc.). + Must have or be able to obtain a DOT Medical Card. + Experience with flatbed trailers and proper load securement techniques (chaining, strapping, etc.). + 0–2 years of technical work experience; 1 year preferred. + Fusion experience preferred. + 1–2 years’ experience in the construction industry preferred. + Ability to drive overnight and on challenging routes. + Ability to cross borders and obtain a valid passport. + Understanding of weight requirements and weight distribution. **DAY IN THE LIFE:** + The role involves physically demanding work with extended hours as needed, including weekends, overtime, and on-call rotations. + Employees will be responsible for preparing equipment, loading/unloading trucks, driving to customer sites, and completing tasks safely and efficiently. **COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:** At Xylem, we offer a competitive compensation package with pay ranging from $22-$25 an hour with a generous benefits package, including Medical, Dental, Vision plans, 401(k) with company contribution, paid time off, paid parental leave, and tuition reimbursement.
