Expected pay for this position is $44.77 - $52.67/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is a Salaried position.
Overview
POSITION SUMMARY: The Claims Manager is responsible for investigating, evaluating, and managing professional and general liability claims involving OSF under the supervision of Director Claims/Litigation.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School Diploma/ GED
Experience:
Experience in legal department/insurance company specializing in medical liability defense litigation.Previous experience working in a fast-paced high-volume environment.
Other Skills/ Knowledge:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.Demonstrated proficiency in medical liability claims management, adjusting and evaluation of damages.Strong attention to details.Ability to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple cases simultaneously. Excellent time management, critical thinking, and organizational skills.Excellent oral and written communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience: 3 years of experience in medical liability claims management, adjusting and evaluation.
Licensure/ Certification: Paralegal certification; Certified Professional Claims Adjuster (CPCU)
