\nThe Claims Investigation Analyst plays a crucial and multifaceted role within the organization, serving as a key component in the comprehensive effort to meticulously examine and identify potentially fraudulent activities related to claims billing, processing, and payment. This role involves conducting in-depth investigations that require a keen eye for detail, as well as analyzing complex and often intricate data patterns to uncover inconsistencies or anomalies that may indicate fraudulent behavior. The Claims Investigation Analyst actively works to verify the legitimacy of claims by cross-referencing data, validating supporting information, and utilizing specialized tools and techniques.

\nOn the day-to-day, you will:
\n· Analyze incidents of suspected fraud, waste, and abuse in accordance with regulatory requirements and organization policies
\n· Conduct investigations to proactively prevent, detect, and correct suspected and identified issues of fraud, waste, and abuse by utilizing a variety of sources including data analytics to detect unusual billing
\n· Thoroughly review all claim documentation, including supporting records and correspondence, to ensure the integrity of the claims process and maintain strict compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies
\n· Collaborate with internal stakeholders on findings, reporting, and remediation
\n· Educate external providers on proper billing practices
\nJob requirements include:
\n· High school diploma required, bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred
\n· Minimum of four (4) years of relevant professional experience in a healthcare environment with an emphasis on fraud, waste, and abuse reviews/investigations, or claims pertaining to fraud, waste, and abuse
\n· Strong knowledge of PACE, managed care, and Medi-Cal and Medicare programs
\n· Knowledge of federal and state guidelines as well as ICD, CPT, HCPCS, coding
