Airswift is seeking a Civil & Structural Superintendent to support large-scale industrial construction projects. This role is responsible for the field execution of earthworks, concrete, and structural steel scopes, ensuring safe, timely, and quality-controlled delivery of critical infrastructure components. The Superintendent will oversee construction activities across multiple site areas and coordinate closely with engineering teams and contractors.
This position plays a key role in achieving construction readiness and field delivery milestones in alignment with safety, cost, and schedule objectives.

Responsibilities:

Supervise daily civil and structural construction activities across designated site scopes Review drawings, specifications, and work packages for constructability and compliance Coordinate site preparation, excavation, concrete formwork and placement, and steel erection Monitor contractor progress and escalate risks to schedule, safety, or quality Ensure adherence to QA/QC protocols, safety standards, and environmental controls Support cross-discipline coordination with mechanical, electrical, and piping teams Lead inspections, punch list walkdowns, and turnover documentation Represent project interests in field interactions with contractors and engineering consultants Manage project communications and risk mitigation strategies Perform other job-related duties as assigned Requirements: Minimum 10 years of site-based experience in civil/structural construction Experience in mining, mineral processing, or heavy industrial projects preferred Technical diploma or equivalent in Civil Engineering or Construction Management OSHA/MSHA certification or eligibility preferred Familiarity with document control systems and contractor performance management Prior experience acting as an Owner’s representative is an asset Preferred Qualifications: Strong knowledge of structural steel, concrete, earthworks, and excavation practices Skilled in interpreting civil/structural drawings, geotechnical data, and survey controls Proven ability to lead field teams and resolve construction challenges in real time Effective communicator with experience managing internal and external stakeholders  Experience with QA/QC protocols and site logistics planning
