Sector: Oil & Gas – CO? Sequestration Project
We are currently hiring an experienced Construction Superintendent (Civil & Structural) for a major onshore CO? Sequestration Project in Qatar. The successful candidate will provide technical and construction supervision across civil, steel structure, and architectural scopes, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and schedule requirements.
Key Responsibilities:Oversee site execution of civil, steel structural, and architectural works.
Monitor and ensure construction works follow approved sequencing, project specs, safety, and quality standards.
Coordinate daily with construction teams and contractor representatives to track progress and resolve issues.
Provide technical input for method statements, JSA/JHA reviews, and SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) compliance.
Interface with project engineering, QA/QC, and operations teams to facilitate smooth mechanical completion and commissioning.
Track and report progress against completions milestones, punch-list resolution, and handover activities.
Participate in incident investigations and ensure emergency response readiness on site.
Implement lessons learned and bring forward safe, cost-effective construction solutions.
Maintain up-to-date construction metrics and documentation.
Support cross-functional coordination with Engineering, Field Ops, and Vendors.
Requirements:Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum 8 years of experience in construction within the oil and gas sector, with focus on large-scale projects.
Solid background in EPC, fabrication, installation, and completions.
Strong familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and project execution methodologies.
Skills & Knowledge:
Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings, standards, and safety procedures.
Excellent understanding of construction management tools and techniques.
Strong communication skills and ability to work within a multicultural, multidisciplinary team.
Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Computer literacy in MS Office and construction-related software tools.
Preferred Candidate Profile:Ready to mobilize immediately or within a short notice period.
Experience in CO? projects or LNG/offshore-related construction highly desirable.
Prior experience with Middle East projects considered an asset.
Visa, travel, and accommodation arrangements will be managed for selected candidates.
