Job Description
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Civil Structural Engineer to support new project work with a primary focus on civil and structural design elements. The candidate will lead the design and analysis of civil and structural engineering products, utilizing their expertise to develop innovative solutions for various projects, including support structures, concrete foundations, and enclosure designs. The engineer will collaborate closely with a team to ensure timely, budget-friendly project completion in alignment with applicable codes and standards.
Responsbilities
Perform and review engineering design and structural analysis for steel structures and concrete foundations.Collect, review, interpret, and integrate design requirements from customers, suppliers, and internal teams.Prepare and review engineering technical requirements to support project proposals and bid strategies.Review customer specifications and prepare technical clarifications and deviations.Prepare and review budgets, bids, technical, and commercial requirements.Plan and review deliverable schedules, including project documentation and equipment.Work with suppliers to develop budgets and pricing estimates.Ensure arrangement and foundation interface information meets requirements.Interface with internal and external teams to ensure accurate design interface information for structural commodities.Establish corrective actions to reduce nonconformances and improve quality.Represent the company in meetings with clients and other stakeholders.Complete projects on time, within budget, and in accordance with applicable codes and standards.Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree (BS) in Civil Engineering.Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a related engineering field.Licensed Professional Engineer preferred.Strong familiarity with ASCE 7, IBC, AISC 360, ACI 318, OSHA, and industry standards.Experience in structural analysis and design, particularly in the Power or Oil & Gas industry.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations.Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, and trigonometry.Proficient in problem-solving, data collection, and drawing valid conclusions.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Familiarity with AISC 341, ACI 351, DIN 4024, ISO 1940 is a plus.Experience with gas turbine design, auxiliary systems, nuclear engineering, or foundations for rotating equipment.Familiarity with software such as Smart Plant 3D, Revit, STAAD, SAP2000, GT Strudl, AutoCAD, and MicroStation.Work Environment
The work environment is based in the North American headquarters for Plant Engineering, located in Lake Mary. The office is multi-disciplinary, encompassing Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Structural, Controls, and Project Management departments with over 100 professionals. The position requires adherence to all safety policies and procedures, participation in team efforts to achieve company goals, and may involve travel up to 10% of the time.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $105000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
