Position Summary:
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Civil/Structural Engineer for a direct hire role focused on advanced nuclear technology. In this role, you will apply your technical knowledge and analytical skills to perform civil structural analysis and design for both Nuclear Safety-Related and Non-Safety-Related structures. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in structural analysis, structural dynamics, and earthquake engineering, along with proficiency in finite element analysis methods.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Utilize advanced structural engineering tools to analyze, design, and review Nuclear Safety-Related and Non-Safety-Related structures, implementing both linear and nonlinear structural analyses for various materials (e.g., concrete, steel).
+ Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and structural engineering consultants to ensure effective coordination of design activities and address technical challenges.
+ Develop detailed requirements documents, design specifications, design reports, and conduct relevant studies.
+ Communicate effectively with contractors and regulatory bodies, exhibiting strong written and oral communication skills.
+ Perform additional duties as assigned that align with team goals and project objectives.

Minimum Skills, Qualifications, and Abilities:
+ Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution is required; an advanced degree is preferred. A registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is strongly preferred.
+ Experience: At least 5 years of full-time experience in nuclear/non-nuclear structural analysis is required, with additional experience in:
+ Analysis and design of concrete and steel structures
+ Proficiency in finite element analysis and structural design software
+ Familiarity with relevant codes, including ASCE 43, ASCE 4, ACI 349 & 318, ASCE 7, IBC, and AISC N690
+ Preferred knowledge of ANSYS, SAP2000, and SASSI software
+ Programming skills in Python and MATLAB are a plus, but not mandatory.
+ Industry Requirements: Must be eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.

The physical demands of this position require the ability to communicate effectively via phone, in-person, and computer-based platforms.
