**Job Description**
AECOM is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Package Manager to join our dynamic Project Team for the delivery of a new build container terminal in the Port of Rotterdam. This position will play a pivotal role in managing the civil works package under a FIDIC Yellow Contract within the framework of the SESC (Supervision Engineering Services Consultant).
As the Civil Package Manager, you will report to the Construction Manager and oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of civil works, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, quality standards, and project timelines. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a landmark infrastructure project in one of the world’s busiest ports.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Manage the civil works package under the FIDIC Yellow Contract, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and risk allocation principles.
+ Collaborate with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with the SESC framework.
+ Oversee all aspects of civil construction, including earthworks, foundations, pavements, utilities, and marine structures.
+ Monitor progress against the project schedule, identifying and mitigating risks to ensure timely delivery.
+ Ensure that all works are executed to the highest standards of quality and safety, in line with project specifications and international standards.
+ Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance with design and construction requirements.
+ Act as the primary point of contact for the civil works package, liaising with the client, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
+ Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among all project stakeholders.
+ Manage budgets and cost controls for the civil works package, ensuring financial performance aligns with project objectives.
+ Review and approve contractor claims, variations, and payments in accordance with the FIDIC Yellow Contract.
+ Promote a culture of safety and sustainability, ensuring compliance with HSE regulations and best practices.
+ Implement and monitor safety protocols to safeguard workers and the environment.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
+ Minimum of 10 years of experience in managing civil works on large-scale infrastructure projects.
+ Proven expertise in administering FIDIC Yellow Contracts and managing contractor performance.
+ Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methodologies, and quality standards.
+ Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
+ Proficiency in project management tools and software.
**Preferred:**
+ Experience in port infrastructure, marine works, or container terminal construction.
+ Familiarity with the SESC framework or similar engineering supervision contracts.
+ Professional accreditation (e.g., Chartered Engineer, PMP, or equivalent).
+ Fluency in English, Dutch is an advantage but not mandatory.
