**Job Description**
AECOM's Enterprise Capabilities team has an immediate opportunity available for a Hydraulic Engineer III for employment in Bogota, Colombia.
The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
+ Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and design for diverse projects.
+ Develop floodplain, inundation, and stormwater models.
+ Conduct scour calculations and design mitigation measures.
+ Design and assess linear infrastructure and site drainage systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
+ Execute stormwater runoff modeling and drainage design for urban and rural settings.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hydrologic and hydraulic solutions into broader project designs.
+ Prepare technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
+ Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in hydrology and hydraulic modeling.
+ Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
+ Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
+ Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
+ Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments.
+ Identifies discrepancies in results.
+ Provides guidance to entry level engineers.
+ Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
+ Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design
+ elements for engineering works.
+ Performance at this level requires developmental experience in a professional position.
**Qualifications**
Minimum requirements:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field with + 4 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred Qualifications:
+ 2-4 years of experience in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and design.
+ Proficiency in software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, ARCGIS, CIVIL3D or similar tools.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
