**Job Description**
AECOM Technical Services Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineering III in Austin, TX.
**Job details:**
+ Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
+ Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
+ Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
+ Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments.
+ Identifies discrepancies in results.
+ Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
+ Use advanced modeling and engineering techniques to perform 2D and 3D design.
+ Work autonomously on small projects or portions of larger projects using appropriate discretion determining work priorities based on manager’s and team lead’s directions.
+ Experience leading project deliverables (production, develop plan and profile, detail sheets, cross-sections, quantity takeoff and cost estimate calculations).
+ Develops cost cutting measures for challenging design issues.
+ Provides guidance to entry-level engineers and interns.
**Qualifications**
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Position requires:
1. Design for transit projects such as LRT and BRT;
2. Bentley MicroStation, Bentley Open Roads Designer, Bentley OpenRail Designer, AutoCAD Civil, and Bentley Power In Roads
3. ArcMap including dealing with shapefile and google earth file conversions and manipulation;
4. CAD project setup;
5. Previous pavement marking and signs design;
6. Data analysis to inform engineering design and planning reports;
7. Performing value engineering analysis;
8. Utility relocation design for horizontal and cross section design;
9. Creating horizontal and vertical alignments as well as 3D modeling for roadway and track design;
10. Special track design and superelevation calculations;
11. To have passed the PE Exam;
12. Leading interdisciplinary coordination meetings;
13. Experience with client interaction to inform design; and
14. Leading quality control process.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $81,827.00 - $129,912.47.
