Generate conceptual layouts/designs and perform calculations and analyses for wastewater treatment plant and lagoon systemsDevelop wastewater treatment process models in BioWinDesign site details of coal combustion residuals (CCR) impoundment closures and prepare construction specificationsPrepare long-term construction plan in Microsoft ProjectsObserve and document site conditions and constructions with photologs and daily field reportsComplete Hydrologic and Hydraulic (H&H) calculations for drainage and culvert designs, develop HydroCAD/HEC-RAS models, and draft H&H reportsPerform one-dimensional analysis for various stream scenarios, develop hydrologic models, and produce floodplain maps in Esri GIS software and HEC-RASConduct site inspections of wastewater pump stations and develop condition assessment reportsPerform pump hydraulic calculations and develop pump station models in AFT Fathom to evaluate pump station expansion and rehabilitation alternatives and forcemain alternativesCommunicate with manufacturers to determine pump selectionsWork with the project Professional Engineer to establish cost estimates and draft facility plansDesign stormwater treatment systems and develop stormwater models in StormCAD to evaluate pipe and inlet alternativesDevelop Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP)Perform population/flow projections and generate future developing maps in Esri GIS SoftwareWork with the project manager to develop proposals, scopes, project work plans, budgets, schedules, and safe work plansPrepare submittal packages for obtaining permits required from regulatory agenciesMay telecommuteQualificationsCandidates must have a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered, research related occupation, or related occupation.
