Job DescriptionAECOM Technical Services, Inc., is seeking a Civil Engineering II in Orange, CA.
Job details:
Assist in integration of emerging Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) technologies and subsystems, such as traffic cameras, tolling systems and data management platforms, ensuring seamless communication throughout all components.Analyze traffic data, crash data, and performance matrices using software tools like Synchro, VISSIM, ArcGIS Pro and Power BI to optimize the traffic flow and safety analysis.Develop and customize solutions for ITS applications, including web-based dashboards and software solutions.Assist in agency coordination and executing emerging technology projects.Projects may involve advanced transportation technology, connected and automated vehicle pilots, smart mobility, broadband communications, ITS devices, and other innovative solutions.Support ITS design and planning projects on intelligent transportation systems, including traffic signal control, variable message signs, and connected vehicle infrastructure.Work on a wide range of projects and tasks and lead the team with field research, evaluations, data collection, data analysis calculations, graphics, maps and data presentation, and report development.Provide guidance to entry level engineers and perform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little to moderate supervision.May telecommute.QualificationsCandidates must have a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field and 1 year of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
Position requires experience in the following:
ArcGIS Pro software for geographical mapping and spatial analysis of project areas;Planning and designing Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS);Synchro traffic modeling software for traffic impact analysis;VISSIM software for traffic impact analysis and modeling;PowerBI software for analysis of project and traffic data;Microsoft Office software (MS Word, Excel programs); andAutoCAD software for plan development and design.Additional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
