Kimley-Horn's Everett, Washington (WA) office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join their Transportation Planning and Traffic team! This is not a remote position.

 

The ideal candidate will bring 4+ years of progressive experience in traffic engineering, be well-versed in preparing Traffic Impact Analyses (TIAs), and demonstrate hands-on design experience with Civil 3D. Proficiency with traffic modeling tools like VISSIM and Synchro is a strong plus.We are seeking a skilled and licensed Traffic Engineer with strong experience in the Washington market.

Responsibilities Perform traffic engineering and project management tasks to deliver a wide variety of transportation planning, transit, traffic engineering, safety, and intelligent transportation systems (ITS) projects for many, diverse clientsHas an entrepreneurial spirit, creating a vision for growth in their personal practice while contributing to the growth of our well-established transportation engineering practiceManage their projects profitably, engage in hands-on practice and delivery of projects, transition work to qualified staff, and act as a positive leader and mentorContribute significantly to marketing and business development efforts and have the autonomy to pursue their own passions, leads, and clientsThis is an exciting opportunity to work with a team of engineers and designers on a variety of projectsYou will flourish on both building meaningful internal and external professional relationshipsYou will work closely and collaboratively with other industry leading professionals, various jurisdictions, and contractors Qualifications

Professional Engineer (PE) license in Washington (or ability to obtain within 12 months)

4+ years of traffic engineering experience with familiarity in Washington-specific standards and practices

Strong experience preparing Traffic Impact Analyses (TIAs)

Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (preferred)

Experience with Synchro and VISSIM (bonus)

Proven ability to manage projects, mentor others, and work effectively in a collaborative environment

Excellent communication skills and a relationship-building mindset

Entrepreneurial spirit with a desire to grow your own practice within a thriving transportation planning and traffic team

Salary Range:

$100,000 - $140,000 Eligible for Performance Based Bonus Compensation Why Kimley-Horn?
