Purpose of the Role:
The Civil/Structural Engineer Level II is at a fully proficient level with full knowledge of the principles and practices in the design, analysis, and verification of civil and structural works for projects, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements. The role involves developing safe, reliable, and cost-effective engineering solutions, supporting the preparation of calculations, specifications, and reports, and ensuring constructability throughout the project lifecycle. The position collaborates closely with designers, other engineering disciplines, and project stakeholders to deliver high-quality technical outcomes that align with the organization’s standards of safety, integrity, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform and review civil/structural analysis, reports and tasks in accordance with project requirements, schedule and technical requirements.
Works with some autonomy and self-initiated technical guidance with regular interaction with senior/supervisor.
Coordination with other engineering disciplines.
Occasional site visits.
Qualifications / Skill Set:
Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field
Registration with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM), as Graduate member.
5+ years of experience in civil/structural engineering.
Experience in buildings, structural, infrastructure and foundation design and conversant with Eurocodes and other relevant international codes and standards.
Familiarity with ground investigation and geotechnical requirements.
Familiarity with architectural work for plant buildings.
Knowledge of plant requirements.
Strong knowledge of structural design software (e.g. STAAD.Pro)
Good communication skills
