Job Title: Civil Engineer Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota Type: 12 month Contract Compensation: $62.00 - $66.00 hourly Contractor Work Model: Hybrid Hours: Monday and Friday remote work, Tues - Thurs in office/on site System One is currently seeking a Civil Engineer on a 12 month contract position located in Minneapolis, MN. Civil Engineer Responsibilities: + Support landfill, pond and water resource-related capital projects across plants in the Minneapolis/Metro area. + Work includes landfill expansions, pond expansions, liner and leachate system installation, equipment replacement and environmental compliance. + Scope projects, develop budgets, and prepare bid packages. + Conduct contractor walk-downs, oversee construction activities and support field execution. + Manage project life-cycle: scoping, bidding, execution, closeout. + Ensure drawings, permits, and documentation are updated/compliant. + Collaborate with plant operations, environmental teams and construction supervisors. + 50% field work, 50% office work. Civil Engineer Requirements: + Civil Engineering strongly preferred + Experience with brownfield/greenfield environments, landfill management, water resources and construction management. + 3-5 years engineering/project management experience. + Strong independence, problem solving ability, and comfort building rapport with plant personnel and contractors. + Landfill / pond / water resource project experience preferred. + SAP experience preferred. + Bluebeam; PDF markup preferred + AutoCAD/Civil 3D + Budgeting and forecasting preferred + FE preferred + PE highly preferred (not required) System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé, ALTA IT Services, and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
