As a Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and drafting civil engineering plans from concept to final product. This includes public and on-site drawings, as well as handling engineering calculations and hydraulic computations using specialized software. You will ensure compliance with county and jurisdictional regulations and codes, coordinate design reviews, and facilitate design approvals. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with project managers and department heads to monitor project status and resolve any issues.

Essential SkillsBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.Strong experience in H&H modeling and floodplain studies, with proficiency in software such as HEC-RAS, HY-8.3-6 years of experience in land development, permitting, professional engineering, project management, and site assessment.
Additional Skills & QualificationsBaltimore County/City permitting experience is advantageous.Desire to be client-facing and participate in meetings.Aspiration to obtain a P.E. license and move into project management.Familiarity with HydroCAD, HEC-RAS, and HY-8.Having an E.I.T. or a P.E. is highly beneficial.

The work environment is a small, tight-knit firm located in a beautiful, quiet office park in Owings Mills, MD. The office space is modern and includes access to a state-of-the-art gym. The firm specializes in site/civil work for affordable housing, with projects in mixed-use/retail, parks & recreation, office buildings, and hospitality/entertainment. The team values collaboration, offering opportunities for growth and upward mobility. The office hours are from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, five days a week, primarily on-site, with occasional site visits. Team bonding activities, such as donut and bagel Fridays, are part of the culture.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $115000.00/yr.
