Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to manage our Civil team and oversee CAD standards. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising and performing civil design tasks, including street analysis, planning, geometric design, conceptual layouts, grading, stormwater management, and utility plans. The role involves supervising, coordinating, writing, and editing specifications, drawings, reports, and data sheets for various projects. You will also be responsible for preparing contracts, cost estimates, plans, and detailed specifications, ensuring technical completion of civil project services within budget and schedule. Additionally, you will perform quantity calculations, produce engineering analytical data, review local, state, and federal regulations, manage projects, mentor junior engineers, and lead quality and CAD standards for the operation.
ResponsibilitiesManage the Civil team and CAD standards.Supervise and perform civil design tasks, including street analysis, planning, geometric design, conceptual layouts, grading, stormwater management, and utility plans.Supervise, coordinate, write, and edit specifications, drawings, reports, and data sheets for projects.Prepare contracts, cost estimates, plans, and detailed specifications.Ensure technical completion of civil project services within budget and schedule.Perform quantity calculations and produce engineering analytical data to assure design and technical reports are accurate.Review local, state, and federal regulations.Manage projects and mentor junior engineers on staff.Write and price technical proposals.Lead quality and CAD standards for the operation.Supervise 2-4 engineers.Essential SkillsStrong Civil 3D/AutoCAD skills.Professional Engineer (PE) license.Experience with public projects, including utility plans, grading plans, roadway plans, sanitary collection systems, and stormwater management.Drainage, hydrology, and HydroCAD experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsLicensed Civil Engineer.10 years of experience (4 in a supervisory/management role).Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.Knowledge of building codes, zoning codes, and approval processes related to civil engineering.Work Environment
This role is based in our updated office located in Red Bank, NJ, where you will work 5 days a week. We offer flexible hours (7am-6pm) with a team of 15 people. Our company, established 8.5 years ago, promotes a work-life balance with flexible hours, summer Fridays, and no night meetings. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $135000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
