Civil Designer 12D

We are seeking to appoint a Civil Designer in a full-time permanent position for our Community Development team in Cairns. Reporting to the Design Lead, you will contribute to delivering innovative solutions in all facets of civil infrastructure projects including land, urban and subdivisions. This role will suit an experienced 12D Designer who has worked on civil projects.

Our approach to community development consulting covers master planned communities, mixed-use developments, parks, recreation facilities, and streetscapes. We activate urban downtowns, suburban centers, small towns, and rural areas—and the multimodal corridors that connect us to the places we work, live, and thrive.

The role

Preparing conceptual and detailed designs using 12D (land subdivisions, road infrastructure, drainage, sewer & water systems as well as associated infrastructure)Interpreting civil design requirements State Government, Local Government Authorities and private sector clientsInterfacing with associated disciplines such as planning, survey, traffic, electrical and landscapingInteracting with clients regarding project needs ensuring that expert and quality service is deliveredCollaborating with diverse teams nationally 

About you 

Demonstrated civil design/drafting experience Relevant qualificationsDemonstrated experience using 12D softwareFamiliarity with local authority and state government approval and regulatory requirementsA commitment to self-improvement and continuing professional development
