Cisco US Navy Team Solution Engineer

Approximately 30-40% travel 


U.S. Citizenship is required for this role. The successful applicant must have the ability to acquire a US Government TS clearance.


MEET THE TEAM

You will work with our US Navy team and use your experience and expertise to build Cisco's relevance in delivering solution development, partner ecosystem, marketing, etc. Teaming with an account manager, you will jointly engage with the customer, finding ways to pursue your customer's concerns and challenges. You will make customers more agile, improve your career, and bring groundbreaking technology into the spotlight.


YOUR IMPACT

This role allows flexibility, customer engagement, groundbreaking technology, and career mobility.


-  You will lead and orchestrate Cisco and Partner resources to identify & qualify opportunities, and close engagements to achieve product and service bookings targets. 


-  You will sell the entire Cisco Portfolio but Networking, Data Center, and Security are the most important in this role. 


-  Develop & lead business value-based opportunities within targeted accounts - often over 12-36-month sales cycles. 


-  Provide regular reporting of account engagement progress weekly, monthly, and quarterly 


-  Engage, advise, and mentor sales teams on Customer Experience imperatives and business value-based consultative selling approaches 


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

-  5+ years of related systems engineering/sales/pre-sales experience.


-  Knowledge and strong operating experience in a minimum of one of the following areas of specialization: Data Center, Collaboration, Security, Route/Switch, Wireless 


-  Cisco product experience or substantial experience in key competitor offerings in technology area of emphasis required


-  US Citizenship required


-  On site at customer locations through out MD and VA is requiered 10%-80% for full days


-  Ability to travel between 30-40% 


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

-  Cisco certifications CCNP - CCIE is preferred 


-  Understanding of the US Navy Structure and Procurement Process.


-  Validated technical knowledge and consultative skills


-  Direct work experience with the US Navy, as Public servant or enlisted.


-  Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, and presentation skills
