In Eaton, making our work exciting, engaging, meaningful; ensuring safety, health, wellness; and being a model of inclusion & diversity are already embedded in who we are - it’s in our values, part of our vision, and our clearly defined aspirational goals. **This exciting role offers opportunity to:** **What you’ll do:** This individual will be responsible for design, develop, testing, and validating electronics and electrical fuses and circuit protection components meeting customer's performance, safety, and environmental requirements + Design, develop, test, and validate electronics and electrical fuse products, including over voltage and over current protection fuse and fuse assembly + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and specifications + Interface with suppliers and manufacturing teams to ensure design for manufacturability and cost effectiveness + Develop and execuet execute compliance and certification meeting customer requirements + Engineering change management and product life cycle management in accordance with company procedures **Qualifications:** + B.S, or M.S. in Electrical Engineering or rated field. + Minimum 7+ years of experience in electronics / electrical fuse and circuit protection design. + Strong understanding of electrical protection principles, including overcurrent, over voltage, and thermal behavior + Experience with CAD tools (e.g.Solidworks or Autocad) and lab instrumentation. + Analyze and interpret component datasheets and technical specifications to select appropriate materials and components, interfacing with vendors. + Experience with compliance and standards such as AEC-Q200, UL248, IATF 16949, and IEC 60127 to ensure all designs comply with relevant standards and safety regulations. + Knowledge and hands-on experience of prototyping and testing and knowledge of fuse testing protocols, including ratings, time-current characteristics, and environmental stress testing. + Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation, including schematic, design specifications, test procedures, bill of materials, and reports, and manage project timelines and deliverables. + Ability to work independently, collaborating asynchronously with global cross-functional teams, across multiple time zones. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
