We are seeking an experienced Electronics professional to join its Digital Technology & Embedded Systems team, which is supply chain-focused. This role is crucial for Ford's global EV and Connected Vehicle expansion, involving negotiation and technical expertise to ensure world-class delivery from our supply base, working globally with suppliers and internal teams.
**In this critical role, you will:**
+ Join a high performing Supply Chain Lead team to ensure security of supply of optimal costed electronic and mechanic BoM for our next generation Digital Tech TPMS sensors and vehicle chargers
+ Establish/strengthen global supplier relationships, enabling Ford to better align with and influence supplier technology roadmaps.
+ Often leaning heavily on the current published cycle plan information due to modular supplier sourcing strategies.
+ Develop Cost and Capacity strategies with PD/STA and to ensure security of supply at best cost
+ Lead issuing RFQ’s to source next generation FWD model programs and align with suppliers on global supply strategy.
+ Collaborate with PD to source FWD model programs meeting technical and quality requirements to allow delivery of state-of-the-art smart connected vehicles with a safe localization launch strategy.
+ Engage Sensor supplier partners at senior level to develop strong partnerships. Hold regular Business reviews with suppliers
+ Manage Supplier emerging significant issues (supply issues, Quality, Cost, etc.) and drive internal risk mitigation
**You'll have...**
+ Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering or Supply Chain (Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical, or Business)
+ Possess excellent negotiation, strategy, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills; those needed to interact with external and internal stakeholders
**Even better, you may have...**
+ Prior specialized focus on electronic sensors technology/industry experience
+ Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to build strong and effective relationships across technical and business teams globally
+ Advanced knowledge of direct electronics supplier experience valued
+ 2 or more years of experience with MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook)
+ A genuine fascination for improvement and a commitment to global change beneficial
