CI Technician
**Job Title:** Continuous Improvement (CI) Technician / CI Associate **Position Summary:** The Continuous Improvement (CI) Technician is responsible for supporting and leading initiatives that drive operational excellence throughout the facility. This role will focus on improving safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people development by utilizing Lean tools and continuous improvement methodologies. The CI Technician will work cross-functionally to identify opportunities, implement solutions, and sustain improvements. **Qualifications:** + High school diploma or equivalent required. + Good attendance record. + Demonstrated leadership qualities. + Not currently involved in any disciplinary action. + Willingness to develop and deliver presentations. + Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. + Strong communication skills; able to convey concepts and ideas clearly. + Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. + Willing and able to work overtime as needed. **Key Responsibilities:** + Participate in and lead continuous improvement activities to support facility objectives in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people. + Lead cross-functional teams to identify, implement, and track cost reduction initiatives. + Utilize Lean tools and concepts to drive root cause analysis and problem elimination. + Investigate and implement methods to reduce downtime and waste, including poke yoke (error-proofing) and corrective action processes. + Lead preparation and follow-up activities for CI events. + Conduct pre-work for A3 problem-solving and assist in follow-up to ensure completion and sustainment of action plans. + Support shop floor teams in implementing CI efforts during and after events. + Develop and document optimal work sequences and work instructions. + Identify and present productivity, safety, ergonomics, and quality improvement opportunities, including implementation plans. + Conduct training sessions for employees on CI tools and best practices. + Collaborate with coaches and team leaders on redeployment opportunities and workstation design. + Work directly with coaches, team leaders, and operators to implement area-specific improvements. + Create and maintain documentation of plant productivity in the Protrak system. **Additional Information:** + This position may require standing, walking, and working on the production floor for extended periods. + Overtime may be required to support CI events or project deadlines. + The CI Technician will report to the Continuous Improvement Manager or designated supervisor. **_We Don’t Just Build The World, We Build Innovative Technology Too._** Joining the Stanley Black & Decker team means working in an innovative, tech-driven and highly collaborative team environment supported by over 58,000 professionals in 60 countries across the globe.
