POSITION SUMMARY:

The CI Specialist will be responsible for working on projects that impact the company’s safety, quality, cost, and delivery by using Lean Sigma tools, materials, machines and processes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Performs standard work analysis and maintains standard work documentsRoutinely audits lines to ensure standard work and sustainmentPrepare and plan of work flow and process routing documentsPrepare layout of efficient use of machinery and equipmentStudy processes and analyze cost of productionPerform and document time and motion studiesStudy ergonomics of processesCalculate labor and equipment capacity requirementsRecommend operation and process changes to increase production or improve standardsAssist with facilitating Kaizen events.Mentoring and training team leads through Lean Principals and MDI toolsAll other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous Industrial Engineering experience helpfulMust be extremely knowledgeable of Kaizen and Lean SigmaComputer literate with excel, power point, word experienceExperience with CAD tools helpfulStrong organizational abilities in record keeping, filing and document preparationAbility to perform basic mathematical calculations and report data accuratelyExcellent interpersonal skillsSharp production focus with a drive for accurate and timely results.Ability to manipulate tools and assembly components involving fine and gross motor skills sufficient to demonstrate the jobAbility to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to sit, stand, bend, reach, kneel, twist, pull, push, grip and climb.Excellent verbal and written communication skillsAnalytical, negotiation, problem-solving and conflict resolution skillsMust be able to be self-directedAbility to work in a team environment

Minimum Degree Required:

High School Diploma or equivalentBachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience, preferred.
