Key responsibilities:
Continuous Improvement Strategy & Execution:
Lead the CI program in the location working in conjunction with the plant management team. Provide oversight and guidance for all continuous improvement initiatives in the plant. Support of continuous improvement strategy in partnership with business leaders and key operations leadership. Identify major opportunities for the plant to improve and promote the Ardagh Best Practice culture through the introduction of data / fact-based decisions, systems thinking, working group support & moderation, and various statistical tools Driver for best practices and cost saving activities / projects Manage the CI project portfolio of the location. Reporting of progress development against Objectives & KPI’s Serve as a project manager, assist with project execution, provide functional input, and identify functional resources
Training & Coaching:
Train local employees, e.g. Green/ Yellow Belt and coach local employees during training relevant projects Deliver AMPS* / CI training when required, this includes Lean tools and Six Sigma.(*AMPS = Ardagh Metal Production System, which is a production system based on lean management and ideas from TPS)
Process Optimization & Analysis
Detect and track plant initiatives and report on their status, cycle times, savings achieved, and other relevant metrics. Assist plant management team to identify opportunities to improve performance (e.g. Reduction of ODMs, spoilage, costs, increase in productivity) Perform data analyses as part of an integrated program of process control and designed experimentation, e.g. apply DMAIC & PDCA methodologies effectively, as a part of AMPS.
Professional requirements:
Qualifications:
University degree, preferably in Engineering. Black Belt certification advantageous Detailed operational IS skills, such as MS Office, SAP, statistical packages (e.g. Minitab/SPC). Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment Minimum 3-5 years of experience applying Lean/Six Sigma principles Experience in facilitating training and coaching German and English fluently, both written and spoken
