Chubb Life Global Office: Senior Digital Product Manager

Position Objective

To be responsible for the entire lifecycle of a digital product/feature, from concept to launch and ongoing optimizationTo create and/or lead cross functional squads cross geography comprising of teams of internal/external/business/technology resources to deliver specified outcomes to time, cost and quality targets inclusive of scrumming the squadThese projects may be standalone within a portfolio or may comprise a substantial workstream within a larger programTo drive change across the markets to adopt new solutionsTo drive product development and manage product backlog alongside market and platform POs

Roles and Responsibilities

Ensure user stories, UAT criteria, definition of ready, definition of done and acceptance criteria are clearly documented, and that delivery teams deliver to these documented expectationsDrive decision-making and remove impediments to squad’s progress by influencing key stakeholders, and escalating issues appropriatelyOversee all stages of product feature delivery managing the product roadmap to ensure alignment with business objectives and a seamless user experience, inclusive of scrumming the squadDevelop and actively manage project plans in line with project management standards to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budgetManage delivery against project plan, monitoring progress and taking action to ensure project remains on track and within budgetManage financials including business case initiatives and ensure that all associated costs, and plans are incorporatedCollaborate with business partners and stakeholders to understand and anticipate their needs and be able translate them into product and business requirementsBe able and ready to develop, prioritize and maintain the product roadmap and squad backlog to drive speed-to-market and business impact, working alongside market POSIntegrate activities, identifying and managing interdependencies (within and outside the project) so as to ensure coordinated deliveryManage relationships with a range of internal and external suppliers and stakeholders, business requirements, agreeing terms and ensuring deliveryAct as a liaison between different departments (marketing, sales, design, engineering) to ensure alignment and smooth executionPlan and manage internal and external project resources (financial, human, technological etc.) to ensure delivery of project outputs to time, cost and quality criteriaAgree and implement project reporting and control processes in line with project management standardsProvide communication on project status, risk and quality analysis on a regular basis. Address risks, escalate on time to deliver projects properly.Continually seek out relevant industry product digital and technical knowledge and improve on professional skills by completing necessary development activities

Requirements:

With at least 8 years’ experience in managing projects; a plus experience in Claims and Underwriting in Life insurance are advantageousDigital product management experience and certification preferred e.g. scrum PO, displaying strong digital and agile delivery capabilitiesOversee the product development process, including defining requirements, creating user stories, refining the backlog, scrumming the squad and driving with design and engineering teamsAbility to conduct business analysis and create requirements where needed, identify business/product requirements gaps and coach the team to fulfil gapsAct as agile coach for the squad where required uplifting team competencyAble to work under pressure and tight project schedule, and work flexibly under dynamic environment and geographyStrong business acumen, self-motivated, result-oriented, strong communication skillsRigorous, autonomous, organized, committed, transparentExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to lead teams and influence stakeholdersUnderstanding of common technology integration patterns, web development, UI/UX principles, and emerging digital trendsStrong ability to conduct market and customer research
