Chubb Access Manager

Key Objective: 

This role is responsible for the development and execution of the Chubb Access business plan.  The successful candidate will lead a national sales team focused on driving profitable growth across all business units.  The sales team will also help support the build out of the Lower Middle Market (LMM) business across Canada. 

 

The Access Manager’s key responsibilities include building and executing strategic plans to cultivate producer relationships, maximize targeted business development, and expand distribution. The role requires close collaboration with Segment and Product Leaders, business units, and branch managers to set goals, develop plans, evaluate performance, and deliver impactful initiatives to the field. The Chubb Access Manager will ensure effective producer planning, prospecting, and account rounding strategies are in place, reinforce Chubb’s culture, and present a unified, consistent brand to the marketplace.

 

The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter, confident in making decisions independently and collaboratively. They excel in a fast-paced environment, coordinating across departments and lines of business, including Claims. Strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to anticipate field needs, and a commitment to building strong relationships and delivering positive customer service to both internal and external stakeholders are essential.

 

Major Responsibilities: 

Develop and execute Chubb Access strategies to drive production for each business unit (MA, CI, LMM, PRS, FL, A&H) across all the Canadian branches.

Lead the Access Sales BDMs to maximize cross-sell, drive submissions and increase new business.

Build and lead execution of strategic and tactical plans to develop producer relationships and maximize targeted business plans.

Find, onboard and cultivate new Chubb Access brokerages.

Work with the underwriting teams from each business to maximize resources and expand sales reach.

Drive secondary geographic market visitation and drive submission opportunities.

Lead Chubb Access events for prospecting, education, and broker engagement.

Maintain a strong commitment to, and presence in, the business community, industry events, and associations.

Minimum 7 years of relative insurance experience required.

Proven leadership in managing and motivating a national sales team.

Demonstrated success in selling, negotiation, and driving Access and Lower Middle Market (LMM) opportunities.

Extensive experience managing key broker relationships and implementing distribution strategies.

Management-level experience in underwriting or marketing preferred.

Strong team collaboration and influence skills.

Excellent organizational skills for managing multiple projects and competing priorities.

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

Effective presentation and relationship-building abilities.
