Lead the Future of Compute in One of the World’s Most Strategic Markets

HPE is seeking a China Sales Leader - Compute — a highly visible, business-critical leadership role with full accountability for strategy, growth, and profitability of the Compute portfolio across China.

This is not just a sales leadership role. This is a General Manager position, responsible for end-to-end P&L, Go-To-Market strategy, and long-term business leadership for Compute in one of HPE’s most complex and high-impact geographies.

As a core member of the China Senior Leadership Team (SLT), you will shape HPE’s Compute success today — and define its future.

The Role at a Glance

As China Sales Leader - Compute , you will:

Own the entire Compute P&L for ChinaLead the Compute business, product strategy, and GTM execution across the countryDrive revenue growth, margin expansion, and market leadershipBuild, inspire, and lead high-performing sales, category, and presales teamsAct as a strategic advisor to China and Global leadership

You will report to the Global Compute WW Leader, with a dotted-line reporting to the China Managing Director, and partner closely with the broader China Sales Organization to accelerate Compute growth.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

General Management & P&L Ownership

Full accountability for revenue, margin, expense, and operating profit across the Compute portfolio in ChinaDefine and execute the China Compute business strategy, aligned to global priorities and local market realitiesLead investment, pricing, resource allocation, and portfolio lifecycle decisions

Sales & Go-To-Market Leadership

Own the Compute GTM strategy, sales motion, and execution across direct and indirect channelsLead category management, specialists, and presales functions country-wideDrive pipeline health, forecasting accuracy, and disciplined sales executionActively engage in complex, high-value, multi-BU deals with significant P&L impact

Customer & Market Leadership

Build trusted relationships with CXO-level customers (CEO, CFO, COO, CIO)Orchestrate major enterprise engagements and executive negotiationsPosition HPE as a long-term strategic partner, not just a technology vendorProvide structured customer feedback, competitive insights, and market intelligence to global teams

People & Culture Leadership

Build and lead a best-in-class Compute leadership teamCoach, develop, and retain top talent across sales, category, and presalesCreate a performance-driven culture rooted in integrity, accountability, and winning the right wayLead through change and complexity in a dynamic market environment

Strategic Influence

Experience

12+ years of progressive experience in enterprise technology sales8+ years leading high-performing sales organizations at scaleProven success owning large quotas and complex P&L responsibilitiesExperience across multiple sales motions, portfolios, and customer segmentsStrong background in Compute / Infrastructure / Data Center solutions is mandatory

Leadership & Business Acumen

Strategic thinker with strong commercial and financial judgmentDeep understanding of sales methodology, forecasting, and GTM executionAbility to navigate market, regulatory, political, and economic complexityDemonstrated ability to influence at executive and boardroom levels
