Job Description
Support the safe and efficient operation of centrifugal chillers and associated equipment at a university campus. Ensure compliance with ASME and NFPA codes and standards while maintaining optimal chiller plant performance.
ResponsibilitiesOperate centrifugal chillers up to 2000 tons, ensuring safe and efficient functionality.Monitor and troubleshoot the chiller management system controlling chilled water equipment.Maintain cooling tower water treatment controllers and associated equipment.Conduct daily rounds to inspect chiller equipment.Sample and test chemicals to maintain correct water chemistry for systems.Adhere to OSHA standards and applicable federal regulations.Complete preventive maintenance orders and work orders, documenting all work performed.Communicate effectively with department personnel and management to support chiller plant operations.Essential SkillsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Two years of experience operating HVAC equipment.Graduation from an accredited HVAC technical school or equivalent experience.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and twisting.Additional Skills & QualificationsValid Georgia driver's license and insurable driving record may be required.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Work involves both indoor and outdoor settings at a college university. You will be exposed to extreme weather conditions and high noise areas. The role encompasses nearly 200 buildings divided into 7 zones, each managed by a zone supervisor. Shifts are divided into 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, with specific staffing levels.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $34.00/hr.
