Logan Health Behavioral Health - Whitefish has a rare opportunity for a Children's Therapist (LCSW, LMFT, LCPC) to join their team!
We’re looking for a skilled and compassionate therapist who knows just how much impact early mental health support can have. About Logan Health Behavioral Health – Whitefish
Our clinic provides comprehensive mental health services for children, adolescents, and adults. We offer individual therapy, psychiatric care, and even advanced treatments like Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). The team includes two psychiatrists, one nurse practitioner, two behavioral health therapists, and medical staff. Our location is part of a larger Logan Health Behavioral Health network committed to providing access to quality mental health care in our community.

What You’ll Be Doing:
Provide therapy to children and adolescents that typically ranges from ages 3 to 18
Complete psychosocial assessments and develop, implement, and review treatment plans
Participate in discharge planning and case management to support continuity of care
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to align care and treatment goals
Attend biweekly team meetings to discuss referrals and coordinate services
Seeing an average of 6-8 patients per day with protected time for admin and lunch built into your 10-hour day
Maintain timely and thorough documentation in the EMR
Contribute to a supportive, team-based approach to behavioral health that includes psychiatry, therapy, and TMS services
Who You Are:
You’re a licensed mental health professional with direct experience providing therapy to children and adolescents, and you bring confidence and competence to every stage of therapy — from intake to discharge. You’re comfortable working independently while also thriving in a collaborative, team-based environment.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or related counseling field required.
Current Montana LCSW, LCPC or LMFT licensure required. (Licensure candidates are not eligible)
Current CPR certification required as applicable to assigned area(s).
Possess knowledge of evidence-based practice and experience in assessment, crisis assessment, brief therapies, and clinical case management preferred.
Ability to analyze, intervene and evaluate a range of psychosocial theory and methods as applicable to assigned area(s).
Possess knowledge of cultural, ethnic, social, historical and spiritual issues relevant to the provision of mental health treatment as applicable to assigned area(s) preferred.
Additional requirements as applicable to assigned area(s):
Possess a working knowledge of: Psychiatry, Psychology, Social Work, Education, and/or Marriage and Families.
Experience and/or knowledge of behavioral health disorders and treatment modalities.
Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.
Other Job Specific Duties:
Triages referrals from providers and ensures on-going liaison occurs with stakeholders as applicable to assigned area(s).
Performs initial and comprehensive assessments, including diagnostic evaluation, risk assessment, behavioral systems, level of care need, and other information necessary to determine treatment as applicable to assigned area(s).
Performs as part of a multi-disciplinary treatment team, provides consultation, and education services as applicable to assigned area(s).
Coordinates patient transitions into services and discharges from treatment as applicable to assigned area(s). Coordinates care, admissions, and/or referrals with appropriate stakeholders as applicable to assigned area(s).
Completes progress notes and documentation in EMR for services provided to patient per department protocol and as applicable to assigned area(s).
As applicable to assigned area(s): Provides individual, group, and family therapy, clinical case management, and outreach services in an effort to fulfill the patient’s treatment goals, wellness and recovery; Participates in development of individual and/or group treatment plans utilizing a variety of brief psychotherapeutic, psychosocial and/or psychoeducational modalities.
Provides crisis management as applicable to assigned area(s).
Works with medical, clinical and support staff to arrange, mobilize, utilize, and coordinate a comprehensive range of community resources that effectively meet the identified patient and family needs as applicable to assigned area(s).
Serves as a patient advocate and liaison with physicians and other healthcare professionals as applicable to assigned area(s).
Complies with the legal and regulatory laws, reporting, and practice standards within scope of practice.
Shift:
Day Shift - 10 Hours (United States of America)Schedule: Part-time, 20 hours per week. Schedule will typically be Mondays and Fridays. Hours are 7 a.m. - 5 p.m., 10 hour day shifts. Typically 7 a.m. - 4 p.m. seeing patients and 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. administrative time.
Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
