Job Description:
Parsons is looking for a talented Chief Systems Engineer to join our growing TLOSS team! You will lead our team supporting the U.S. Space Force’s Tools, Applications, and Processing (TAP) Lab at Boulder, CO. You’ll interface across multiple cross-discipline teams to develop groundbreaking remote sensing capabilities.
What You'll Be Doing:
Oversee and guide all systems engineering efforts supporting the OPIR TAP Lab. Work with internal and external stakeholders to gather goals and objectives, identify gaps and develop differentiated solutions that solve mission needs. Define, prioritize, and communicates technical requirements, translating them into actionable and innovative solutions for execution by the respective product teams. Establish and maintain relationships with customers and industry partners to understand mission needs and articulate capabilities Research and understand technology trends, particularly in the areas of agile software development, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), data analytics, and cloud technologies Support enterprise-wide growth strategies and initiatives aimed at differentiation of services and delivery, increased competitiveness, and industry thought leadership Facilitate comprehensive systems engineering trade studies to evaluate and recommend strategic technology investments. Develop technical content for proposals, white papers and related materials in support of government solicitations and conferences Perform product and capability demonstrations for customers and industry partners as needed Attend technical conferences and symposiums pertinent to the trade space Provide technical inputs and mission perspective to inform corporate strategy and investments Ability or past proven performance in working with an advanced, collaborative environment leveraging state-of-the-art technology at multiple data classification levels. Drive innovation and shape the future of Remote Sensing data applications through advanced technologies. Collaborate with stakeholders across diverse programs, fostering a cohesive and innovative team culture. Lead efforts in exploring emerging technology trends, recommending strategic courses of action to ensure technological leadership and operational excellence. Perform in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings. The ideal candidate is expected to be self-motivated, highly organized, and detail oriented and possess effective verbal and written communication skills.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Active TS Clearance with SCI eligibility10+ years of relevant industry experience, with at least 5 years within DoD or national security environments. A Bachelor of Science degree in a relative discipline A strong interest in technology, systems, and data-driven decision-making. Proven leadership in technical project management, systems engineering, and stakeholder collaboration. Experience directly leading diverse engineering teams, preferably in a scaled agile environment Familiarity with system engineering processes and tools. Leadership experience should include at least three or more of the following: project planning, cost and schedule management and tracking, technology management, product development, performance reporting, proposals, program staffing, functional management and staff developmentWhat Desired Skills You'll Bring:
A Master’s degree or planned pursuit of a Master’s degree in Engineering, Science, Technology Management, Information Technology, or a related field. Architecture and systems engineering level knowledge of cutting-edge technology use-case and enterprise applicability such as Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML), data fusion, and automation. Familiarity with Overhead-Persistent Infrared (OPIR) technologies, data, and programs. Background leading operations in an R&D facilitySecurity Clearance Requirement:
