Position Purpose
Coordinates and supervises all technical aspects and functions of the department to ensure efficient, safe, and quality operations.
What you will do
Manages daily routine operations, establishes and monitors standards of performance, staff and patient scheduling, purchasing supplies, staff evaluations, payroll functions, quality assurance initiatives, compliance with JCAHO standards, and provides technical support.The incumbent in this position actively participates in daily treatment of patients. The position involves leadership, problem solving, and decision-making responsibilities. Creates and prepares statistical reports, policies and procedures, and various administrative reports.Serves as a professional role model and mentor to staff by responding positively to change while supporting colleagues through the change process. Serves as a change agent to facilitate communication and transition that supports the mission of the organization.Minimum Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an approved school or certificate program in Radiation Therapy Technology by the Committee on Allied Health Education; Bachelor of Science degree in radiation therapy preferred.Experience: Five (5) years experience as a Radiation Therapist, including one year of supervisory experience.Licensure: Current licensure as required by state or national authority and/of certification or board eligible in Radiation Therapy by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology. Maintain ARRT certification in radiation therapy with a minimum of documented 12 hours of continuing education.Position Highlights and Benefits
